Astrophysical jets are a very common astronomical phenomenon. Until now, the most theoretical studies on jet is mainly carried out through numerical method. The lack of quantitative analytical model leads to a large number of observational results (e.g., VLBI data) not being effectively explained. In this talk, I will present our recent study on this topic. Through obtaining an approximate analytical solution of the key equation, we develop a quantitative analytical model to measure the detailed properties of the jet (e.g., velocity, magnetic field, density, current and charge etc). This theory, through comparing with observations, may bring some interesting results and may be helpful to understand numerical simulations results.
